With a long bus trip back to town, I chance on every pitstop in mind as the morning fog breaks against the bus wondow. The misty morning passing along the highway breathes out an entirely new scene of warmth and beauty. I bask away inside those golden glow slowly restoring candid landscapes of timeless adventures and cheery reflection. It always has me tracing my hands onto the window as fellow passengers quietly handpick our separate paths of vista. The peeking postcards of grinning boater hat passersby in a backdrop between meadows, acres of orchard, or a simple whimsical day out in the village always fills me with excitement as we get closer and closer to stepping down from the long trip.
Without sounding too cliché, I admit to say I still buy myself time toddling the narrow roadside island. Climbing fences might be another story, but as the moment presents itself I knew it's special and I truly soak myself in rehearsing all the feels when I do and I own it.
With my many back and forths to the quaint little town, the gushing hidden paths surrounding it inspires a sweeping scroll of our playful wandering. I love how my late grandma's low country out and about bustles of her day tickles our ears of the old town life. I feel snap happy playing those rolls of film just by listening to her sweet voice and there where never days I didn't miss those special times I spent with her.
As calls the typical of the south, the abiding countenance of the beaming blue skies, where to me, bud her sweetest smile above — a seeming warmth dappling clues on our bond of affinity (it truly knows the immediate buzzword to pop us out of our seats!). What I like most amongst its many imitations is it never sidles to one liking. For most of my life, the upturn of events skipping in bunches outside is an excuse I refuse to miss out on. It's those days donning our shared talks and laughs always falls right up my alley, and nothing more tops it off than the actual snoop of those details bursting in tow in person.
A bold expression squeezing every bit of quirkiness in you in two perfect words.
